The traditional Palestinian scarf is known as a Kufiya, Keffiyeh or Hatta and is generally black and white. The materials in these traditional coloured masks come from a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. The masks were designed and stitched by our wonderful volunteer Dianne Woodward to make a one-of-a-kind statement mask. Each mask is unique as it comes from an original Keffiyeh scarf so may vary slightly.
100% of proceeds will fund our students as well as support Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
Material:
- Cotton/polycotton backing
- Middle layer of unwoven medium weight for breath ability
- Pocket at the top for an additional barrier if required (recommended)
The large size is 20cm x 20cm. The design is sturdy and can be washed but as the keffiyeh fabric is quite sheer and delicate, hand washing in soapy water is recommended or use a delicates machine wash. Spinning and tumble drying is not advised. Iron on the wrong side with a hot iron.
